The Commission is responsible for promoting and encouraging fair treatment, equal opportunity and mutual respect for everyone in Florida. The Commission works to provide vital information on cultural tolerance, diversity and human and civil rights issues as well as aims to ensure that all Floridians are aware of their legal protections and responsibilities.
The Florida Commission on Human Relations was added to the Florida Statewide Taskforce on Human Trafficking during the 2009 legislative session.

The goal of the Commission´s annual law conference is to educate business owners, employers and human resource professionals on their legal responsibilities under state and federal civil rights laws in order to prevent costly lawsuits and foster productive and efficient workplaces.
NOTE: Due to budget cuts, the Commission is unable to host the Florida Employment Law Conference at this time, however, we will do so when resources become available.
